The Pillusion Film Festival has been bringing together independent filmmakers from around the world in one repurposed barn since 2022. We showcase films that challenge and excite our audiences and strive to create a welcoming and stimulating environment for everyone, from curious local inhabitants to regular moviegoers and arthouse film connoisseurs to fellow filmmakers and enthusiasts. Pillusion places a special emphasis on collaboration and community, and our hope is that the filmmakers who share their work at our festival or attend one of our workshops make meaningful, and perhaps unexpected, connections.

The festival takes place in Pill (hence the name) — a village in the Inn valley of the Tyrolean Alps (just 25 mins from Innsbruck), which boasts lovely views and easy access to hiking routes.
